Rob has been teaching guitar throughout the Toronto area for very many years. He is currently teaching in his home studio in Mississauga and at the Merriam School of Music in Oakville.

Rob began playing the guitar at the age of 7 and by 17 had received a high school music scholarship. He then studied classical guitar in his teen years and later went on to study music at York University in Toronto. Rob also holds diplomas in both Recording Engineering and in Media Arts from Humber College. Rob worked for Roland/Boss Canada as a guitar product specialist/clinician and continues to perform clinics from time to time.

Rob continues to be a faculty member at the prestigious Merriam School of Music in Oakville where he has taught for over 12 years. Rob has also taught at the Guitar Workshop Plus music program for many years with the likes of guest artists like Paul Gilbert, Gary Hoey, Alex Lifeson and Rik Emmett and has served as an adjudicator for the Midland Y’s Music Fest
